Ever since I started blogging I get the joy of championing amazing businesses (some large, some small) and am able to spread the word about my favourite gift ideas for Christmas! This year has been no exception and i’m absolutely thrilled to work with every one of them. As a freelancer it’s been tougher than usual post-lockdown with lots of changes to get around and I also feel for the hard-working business owners who are fighting the good fight out there to keep their dreams alive too. I’m so happy to work in tandem with them and also put my money into their visions rather than the corporate giants….when you buy from a small business you help them live their dreams and support themselves and family.

I am in love with the oh so cheeky Christmas jumper shop who create sweatshirts with funny slogans as a modern take on the traditional jumper. I love their ‘I’m full of Christmas spirit’ one but also their lyric designs from Christmas pop songs like Fairy tale of New York are hilarious. Who wouldn’t want to gift their other half a festive garment with ‘Scumbag’ or ‘Maggot’ on the front! There are also vegan designs and all sorts so do check them out and get them orders in!

I always get mine from @judith.v.hall and the new festive Love and plums and Joy and jasmine scents are so gorgeous! Newcastle Biltong is a super little company based in Northumberland who make and sell traditional homemade Biltong and Dry Wors. We have tried their rusks and Koeksisters lately and oh my word they are sooooooo good! Christmas gifts don’t have to be boring and you could easily make up a present for a friend or family member with some gorgeous locally made foodstuffs fresh from the North East. Bottle buddi is a fabulous company designed by a mum who was fed up of the drama of water bottles at school leaking in bags and generally causing mayhem! We have had our fair share of this in our household especially in the days of three packed lunches on a morning it seemed so chaotic at times. The little bags come in a range of colours, they can be hung from a school bag or scooter and helps little ones be organised. Our two have loved using them I just wish they’d been around a few years back.

In our house at Christmastime we love a good board game for all the family and some of our favourites over the years have been Jaques London ones. We really love their philosophy and their quality games are second to none. We have played chess, draughts and the kids have enjoyed the tumbling tower game. This year we have had the pleasure of trying the chess set and we also picked a gorgeous wooden car set which my niece has loved.
The products are always such great quality and it’s lovely to introduce the kids to traditional games and pastimes.
I love the fact there are always great offers and deals on their website. The dinosaur toy is only £10 at the moment and is such a bargain for the quality.
I’m Cassie, a mum of 3, (most of the time I haven’t had chance to straighten my hair or drink a hot cup of tea) trying to juggle life as we all are and failing some of the time, but try and see my glass as half full!
