Popular TV psychic Sheila Gold loses a high-profile court case, which brands her a charlatan. It costs her not only her reputation, but a fortune in legal fees. When a wealthy couple ask Sheila to conduct a séance to attempt to make contact with their late child, Sheila senses an opportunity to bleed them for money. What follows makes her question everything she’s ever believed and leads her on a journey into the darkest corners of her life.

Because this show leaves a lot of mystery I’m not going to do a complete deep dive on it as I want to keep its secrets for other viewers to discover.
What I will say is that the show manages to weave its way through the many layers of its characters very effectively. You feel empathy but also disdain for Sheila Gold and you’re left wondering about her motivations throughout. The set is unbelievable and it really helps the story flow effortlessly with a soundtrack that is so atmospheric you really will feel completely drawn in.
The tension is palpable and real…it is just such a compelling show and I thoroughly recommend catching it while it’s in York if you’re up North.
It certainly will leave you with more questions than answers asking yourself: “Is any of it real?” 🔮
The Psychic will make you question your very darkest questions of life after death…..it is crystal clear that this is a show that defies expectation and illuminates what really could be on the other side.
Another top tier level of production from Dyson and Nyman….I devoured every intense minute….can I see it again?
