BBC Proms at the Glasshouse Gateshead

The Glasshouse hosted some amazing performances for all the family with their fantasy, myths and legends concert with Ellie Slorach, Voices of the river’s edge and the Royal Northern Sinfonia. An afternoon of orchestral fantasy and adventure featuring some well known and loved soundtracks like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, His Dark Materials and Star Wars.

Having these brilliant opportunities to experience such beautiful music is so appreciated and there was something for everyone. It was wonderful to see all age groups enjoy the atmosphere which was electric!

The vocal performance of Voices of the river’s edge was captivating and atmospheric and conductor Ellie Slorach had the audience in the palm of her hand.

So magical and highly recommended from all of us, one of the best days we have had as a family recently and The Glasshouse has so many unique events to help grow a love of classical music at a young age.

Do check out The Glasshouse website with regular updates and new events and performances.
