Patrick Duffy is known to audiences around the world for his twelve years in the role of Bobby Ewing in the primetime TV drama Dallas. Other notable roles include Mark Harris in NBC’s Man from Atlantis, Frank Lambert in the ABC sitcom Step by Step and Stephen Logan in CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful. On stage, he played Serge in the award-winning West End production of Art.
Linda Purl’s numerous screen roles include Ashley (Fonzie’s girlfriend) in Happy Days, Helene in the American version of The Office, Charlene Matlock in the legal drama series Matlock, and Elizabeth Gaines in Homeland. Her stage appearances include the international tour of Seven Deadly Sins Four Deadly Sinners, Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar
Named Desire to name but a few.
The fact that this play isn’t solved until the curtain goes down is just one reason why it made for a fantastic show. It keeps the audience guessing all the way through with a few shock twists and turns to keep it exciting! The set is a mountain lodge and the way the actors use it and interact really helps give the show movement and realism. The effect is both simple and gripping. We were absolutely delighted with it from start to finish. It was great to feel part of the action and be so enthralled by a plot line. All of the actors were enchanting with particular credit to multi dimensional actress Linda Purl, the excellent Gray O’ Brien and the very charismatic Patrick Duffy. The supporting cast shone too: Hugh Fletcher gave a humorous and charming performance as Sidney, Ben Nealon played a great part as Father Kelleher and Chloe Zeitounian looked very at home on stage as Mrs Parker. Paul Lavers was brilliant as the slightly comedic character of Mr Parker.
The audience was on it’s feet at the end which was fantastic to see.
Our verdict:
“Catch this show if you can, immediately! The twists and turns will keep you guessing until the end and the captivating actors will have you gripped!. For a night out with a difference go and see this quality bit of entertainment and see if you can suss out ‘whodunnit'”
