Mirror, mirror, on the wall, our turn to go and watch the fairest panto of them all!
Pop and musical theatre star Gareth Gates thoroughly entertains as the most charming and handsome of princes. He also proves his voice really has the X factor and the audience was loving his performance.
Joining the line-up is Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan from ITV’s The Chase, who played the Wicked Queen Dragonella, alongside hilarious comic and panto aficionado Josh Benson, who joins the cast as the loveable Muddles, Marina Lawrence-Mahrra as Snow White, and Jamie Jones as Mrs Nelly Nightnurse.
The well loved panto was brilliantly brought to life with an abundance of comedy, some excellent song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and stunning scener.
With an interactive magical mirror, the magnificent seven and plenty of audience participation and you have the perfect recipe to outwit the Wicked Queen and let love prevail in this sparkling festive treat for all ages.
The seven small people offered a wonderful performance loved by younger audience members with some really charming scenes with woodland animals, this was so sweet to see and very cleverly done.
Marina Lawrence-Mahrra portrayed just the right balance of sweetest and innocence of Snow White. With amazing vocals she really was the perfect of princesses.
There’s nothing like a dame…..the wonderful Jamie Jones was a vision in some brilliant costumes and the partnership with Muddles Josh Benson worked really effectively with some spectacularly timed comedy moments!
Everyone loved Muddles, the perfect panto comic who kept the children yelling for more.
Josh was able to really command the show and was so vivacious as this hilarious role.
Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan was a personal favourite of mine, I was already a fan but her frightening portrayal of the wicked queen was just fabulous! With beautifully designed outfits and crowns to die for Jenny really engaged her audience and a future in stage acting is hers if she decides.
Who knew that diva was a triple threat!
I’d see her in any show coming up most definitely!
Snow white runs throughout December until the 31st so do catch it while you can!
Our verdict:
Mirror mirror on the wall, Snow White at the Hippodrome is the fairest panto of all! Let this glittering cast entertain you in this sparkling festive panto full of fun!
Oh yes you should!

I’m Cassie, a mum of 3, (most of the time I haven’t had chance to straighten my hair or drink a hot cup of tea) trying to juggle life as we all are and failing some of the time, but try and see my glass as half full!
